Empower. Encourage. Equip. Engage.
Hello!
It's been a while! I took a much-needed, extended break over the summer, but I'm back and ready to connect. This email is a quick update to share some exciting news, ask a few questions, and get you prepared for what's coming next.
First, let me tell you, my time away was absolutely breathtaking. I took the opportunity to tour my city and discovered so much about central Ohio. I encourage everyone to take some time to explore your own city—you'll be amazed at what you can learn about the place you call home! This time away reaffirmed that I am truly a woman of advocacy, justice, inspiration, encouragement, and empowerment. I am an advocate and activist at heart. I was drawn to certain places, buildings, history, and art. You’ll discover a lot about yourself when you step out with intentionality.
During my time away, major changes took shape. "Everbloom" was born, and it's still unfolding, so stay tuned for more on that. "News in Motion" is also undergoing significant changes. You'll notice some updates leading up to the general elections—and then, well, you'll just have to stay tuned. My writing has become more focused and intentional. I also made the tough decision to let go of some things, such as book publishing and coaching, yes, obedience is better than sacrifice.
I look forward to seeing you on September 3, 2024, at 7:25 AM when I return to the news desk! You can join us by subscribing to my YouTube channel. www.YouTube.com/GailDudley
Second, we have important work ahead. I urge you to join us or another organization to help register people to vote and encourage them to check their voter registration status. Our goal is to register 15,000 new voters by the end of September. If everyone who receives this newsletter or follows us on YouTube registers five people, we can make this happen. Yes, we can!
Please note: We are not telling people how to vote; we are simply encouraging voter registration.
Our message: News in Motion is a firm believer in democracy over political party. Our mission is to foster civic engagement by sharing headline news, providing voter education, and promoting voter participation. Through this grassroots movement, we aim to inspire individuals with informative and engaging content, encouraging them to take meaningful action in their communities and drive positive change. We stand for democracy above all, and we are here to ensure that this belief is upheld.
"Whatever the news, let's commit to democracy and our shared humanity."~ Gail Dudley
Finally, I'm thrilled to announce the release of "A Month of Sundays: Elevating Self-Care to Soul-Care" by author Davia Williams-Stevenson. Her book is now available on Amazon, and we're also giving away a few copies! To enter the drawing, simply respond to the questions below.
I must say, I am overjoyed to be back!
Looking forward to connecting with you all soon!
Let's get started!
~ Gail
