The Friday Rundown with Gail

The Friday Rundown

This weekend, let us pause to honor the servicewomen and servicemen who have given their lives in military service to America. While it's easy to get caught up in enjoying the long weekend—spending time with family and friends, preparing for summer as the school year ends, cleaning out closets, binge-watching series, traveling, and more—let's also take a moment to remember and honor these heroes.

If you're unsure how to spend this weekend, consider learning more about Memorial Day's history. You can tune into the National Memorial Day Concert, airing Sunday at 8:00 PM Eastern on PBS, or watch the National Wreath Laying Ceremony. These and other suggestions for Memorial Day weekend activities can be found below.

Now Watch This

This is still happening today in America, more specifically in Ohio and West Virginia. The movie is based on a true story, highlighting ongoing issues where people continue to die, are born with complications, and lobbyists still attempt to avoid compensating affected individuals. It all started with DuPont.
